Last month while digging
in my closet I came across a couple of recordings I made back in '93 of the
KROQ Acoustic Christmas concert. I'd stuck them in the closet because the
recording was from a tape recorder in my bag and the quality wasn't the
best in the world, and with the equipment available at the time I couldn't
clean it up very much. Well times, you know, they have changed. I realized
that I now had a software that could take out the nasty squeals and hisses
and just generally clean the concerts up. Now the quality still isn't as
wonderful as the concert recordings from sound board tapes, but I think
it's pretty good. I have put samples below in MP3 format and I've put a
full version if Happy Xmas (War is Over) below, since this concert was
the only place Duran ever performed this song. These concerts were also
the first time Duran Duran played Ordinary World, Come Undone and Too
Much Information live. CD's of both shows are available.
